K&N Element - performance raise?

Would there be any advantages in replacing the stock air filter with the K&N Element SU-6595 for the LS besides the ability to clean the filter over and over...?

My bike: 2002 model with Raask drag pipe, main jet 125 -> 127,5, needle lifted one notch, inlet snorkel removed.
